so i know...

i've not posted here in a while, i have been concentrating on my other blog, since that is linked to the shop site, and i've felt a little more responsibility to post there (who, what a run on sentence). so my apologizes.

recently a few friends of mine found out that i used to play bass, and they want me to play with them. no matter that i'm really not that great. but i am able to follow directions. so why not? they tell me what to play, and i'll play it. so i nabbed a bass from my sister-in-law, and i've been messing around with it for a couple of days now. i used to have a couple basses, but since i stopped playing i sold them all. stupid. i should have kept one. lesson learned.

anyway...i've been looking for inspiration. and where else better to look than to manowar...the kings of metal. if you don't know manowar...you don't know metal. period. and then i stumbled upon these guys. they are like a conan soundtrack. man, the finnish kick ass. it makes you realize that american metal really does suck. granted there are a few, and yes, technically manowar is from n.y., but their home is in europe...but the metal that comes out of finland, sweden, and other countries like that are just so intense.
