just a quick...

note of anger.

as i sit here and do some grading on this beautiful sunny saturday, i am checking students work cited pages on their papers. the long and short of it is this...i come across this site called ethical atheist in a work cited page, and they have a pic of darwin on their site.

ladies and gentlemen; darwin was NOT an atheist. he never spoke out against the existence of god, but rather wanted to know how god 'worked'. he never denied his existence. the notion of evolution does not equal atheism. the only thing that it does is through question to creationism.

ignorance is not bliss.

Seriously, what I've never understood is why intelligent design advocates seem to think that evolution goes against the idea that God created things. I mean it can easily be reconciled by positing that God's design plan IS evolution... But that would mean that we couldn't take that book of myths, The Bible, as literal truth...

And I also love how ID likes to point out wacky animals like the platypus as some kind of evidence that there was direct design involved. Really? Only God could come up with a patchwork animal like the platypus?

OMG!!! God is soooo funny...ROFL...look what he made!!! A mammal with a duck bill and a pouch and it's poisonous too!!! God has such a sense of humor. Just like a 2 year old...
